Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in our sessions stays private. The only exceptions are if there’s a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s, or if I’m required to disclose information by law (e.g., safeguarding concerns). If this ever becomes necessary, I’ll discuss it with you first wherever possible.
